Our water is drawn mostly from Lavon Lake and treated by the North Texas Municipal Water District. It meets every federal safety standard — but it arrives loaded with the calcium and magnesium that North Texas limestone dissolves into every drop, and it's disinfected with chloramine, which many families can taste.

Is Collin County's water safe to drink?

My new home has a "softener loop." What is that?
